Just beyond Weymouth Bay sits the Isle of Portland and the venue of the
2012 Olympic Sailing Competition. Within this bay you can also see two sections of a
Mulberry Harbor. These were built during World War II to ease the invasion of Normandy and you can still see many of them in the sea and on the beaches all along both coasts.
